Danish Pastries
- 1 Teaspoon yeast
- 1/4 Cup warm milk
- 1/4 Teaspoon sugar
- 2 Cup high grade flour
- 1/4 Cup castor sugar
- 1/4 Teaspoon salt
- 75 Gram butter
- 1 egg
- 1/4 Teaspoon vanilla essence
- mix yeast, sugar, and milk and leave to sit for 15mins
- mix flour, castor sugar, salt, make a well, mix in yeast mixture, egg & vanilla
- knead until smooth and elastic. Wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- roll out to 20cm x 30cm, spread 1/3 butter, fold 1/3then over again, roll otherway spread butter stc. frigerate then repeat a couple more times without the butter
