Feijoas in Wine
- 1/4 Cup red wine
- 3/4 Cup water
- 1/2 Cup sugar
- 4 feijoa
- 1 Tablespoon cornflour
- 2 Tablespoon water
- Put wine water and sugar in saucepan, heat and stir until sugar has dissolved.
- Add feijoas peeled and chopped vertically to pan and simmer until tender (the less cooking the more flavour is preserved) then remove carefully with a slotted spoon.
- Mix cornflour and water, then add to red wine and simmer for 2 mins
- Pour over feijoas. Serve at room temperature with whipped cream.
