Langos
Lángos is a Hungarian food speciality, a deep fried flat bread made of a dough with flour, yeast, salt and water.
- 1 potato
(grated)
- 2 1/4 Teaspoon yeast
- 1 Teaspoon caster sugar
- 2 Cup flour
- 1 Tablespoon oil
- 3/4 Teaspoon salt
- 1 Cup milk
- beat ingredients until moist with electric beater
- switch to the dough hook and knead for 5 - 7 minutes. dough will be very smooth and elastic
- put in greased bowl, cover and leave in a warm place to double in size
- divide into 4 rounded portions, cover and let rise for 20 minutes
- stretch out each portion to about 8 inches then fry in oil 2 minutes per side
very soft bread - absolutely delicious
