Quiche
- 1 onion
- 2 Tablespoon butter
- 2 Cup salami
- 2 Tablespoon plain flour
- 1 Cup milk
- 2 egg
- 2 Cup grated cheese
- 1 Tablespoon rosemary
- 1 Tablespoon mixed herbs
- 1 Teaspoon pepper
- 125 Gram butter
- 2 Cup plain flour
- 2 Tablespoon water
- Pastry: Cut butter into really small cubes then mix with flour until all the butter is mixed and it resembles fine breadcrumbs.
- Add small amounts of water, kneading, until it will hold together in a ball.
- Flatten out and into corners of dish.
- Cover with tin-foil and "blind bake" for 12 minutes at 200°C. Remove tinfoil and bake for further 1 min to dry out.
- Filling: Melt butter in saucepan and put in onion and meat. Cook until onion is clear.
- Add flour and cook until "frothy". Add milk slowly stirring and thickening.
- Remove pan from heat, and add eggs and cheese. Stir till melted and stir in herbs & pepper.
- Add filling to pastry and cook for 30mins.
