Beef Casserole
- 1 1/2 Cup plain flour
- 2 Teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon mixed herbs
- 1 Tablespoon onion
- 100 Gram butter
- 1/2 Cup milk
- 1 onion
- 2 carrot
- rump steak
- 1/4 Cup plain flour
- 2 Cup liquid beef stock
- fresh thyme leaves
- bay leaf
- pepper
- salt
- 1 1/2 Cup plain flour
- 2 Teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon mixed herbs
- 1 Tablespoon onion
- 100 Gram butter
- 1/2 Cup milk
- Brown large chopped onion and 2 sliced carrots in pan. Put into slow-cooker
- Roll cubes of meat in 1/4 cup plain flour and brown in pan. Put into slow-cooker
- Mix 2 cups liquid beef stock, thyme, parsley, bay leaf, black pepper, salt, add to pan
- To make dumplings, mix until resembling coarse breadcrumbs, add milk, mix to a soft dough. spoon on top of stew.
- 10 mins if not in slow cooker. ~1hr (?) if in slow cooker (may need to be on high).
